Love this Bill, despite noting that all the contenders happened to be of the male persuasion. Can't wait for 2024!

JR is an excellent choice. It is noteworthy ie wonderful that someone of his generation has been selected . Gilmanton has many noteworthy older residents. I applaud your train of thought and those who have agreed.

Another excellent and amusing, chattingly humorous read, and well worth it. Even the pictures jump out at me. JR is indeed a prospect for any accolades just for staying in Gilmanton. There isn't anything I know of that he can't do well. I did not know about his shiny head, but no matter what he does, he is still the area woman magnet. When I think of him, I think of Disney's Davy Crockett, who made coon skin caps popular again after two hundred years, him and Adli Stevenson. And Joe; gosh, I didn't know he stopped shaving and might not have recognized him without your help. However, I never thought of him as a citizen of Earth. I feel very fortunate to be getting your news. In some ways it reminds me of Lake Wobegon Days. Garrison Keiler is still one of my favorite people, sunshine in a dark room getting darker. I have many of his cassette tapes.

Excellent choice, Bill, any poet, even a sometimes one, is of course worthy. And he likes ee cummings! Did you know that ee cummings has a Gilmanton connection? cummings was the third husband of Elaine Orr whose mother Caroline De Forest Gale's second husband was Frederick Augustus Von Bernuth, Jr. whose mother Caroline Kitchen (my 6th cousin 3x removed, not kidding) was the sister of Joseph Moses Ward Kitchen whose son Victor married Elsie Rodman one of whose daughters Myra is Wendy Berlind's mother.
